Fern stencil.

Hi all. Have had to get my crafts out.couldn't wait any longer really. Wanted to do some messy crafting, so made these cards. Used a fern stencil, which I inked with Tim Holtz inks. 2 colours. Added string and corrugated card and a button. Wanted to use the same stamp and colours for both cards, but wanted to do 2 plays on them.

Enjoyed doing these and made some other messy crafts which I will share with you later on. Cut out some of the stamped words and inked the edges then stuck on with sticky buddies to raise them.
Hope you like these cards. Leave me a comment or two as love to know what you think....

Tree in a jar

.

Hi all.  Will try and put a fair few  posts on before Christmas Day. My hubby calls me Stig of the dump. I am always collecting stuff, anything and everything. Had this vintage jar for a while. Brought some toadstool christmas tree baubles. Love these miniature trees what people are using to make scenes with their trains etc. got some tartan tags left over and a mini peg

Stuck as much as I could in this jar, bit tricky but long tweezers to hold everything really helped. Put a few buttons inside. Added a bottle top with paper stuck inside. Added glitter then stuck the jar lid on. Added tartan ribbon and twine for a bow. Hubby had the reindeer cut out spare, so gilded him with gold wax. The tartan star tag was painted with cream and sand paint, left to dry and gilded with gold wax. Gilded the mini peg too added a button, added a greeting, gilded of course, then tied on with twine. Hope you like this little jar.......

Hang it on the tree...

This is my 2nd post. Having trouble posting tonight as the weather must be effecting the connection. Found this jar full of buttons, but knew I wanted it for my little trees.

If anyone of you have tried putting trees into jars this small, please let me know if there a nack. Apart from ending up covered in glue gel, all over my arms, workspace and even the outside of the jar!!!!!!!
Managed to get the tree in the jar. Added glitter. Put bottle top on lid with star and a button. Tied with ribbon and added a key to the bow, after adding some strong wire to the lid. Now it's ready to hang on my tree.......

Tatty Heart

Hello to you all. Not sure where this year has gone. As you can see I neglect my blog a lot. I have been really busy with craft fairs and card orders. Only finished my card orders last weekend and really had a good clear up, now we can eat our christmas dinner on the table!!!! But couldn't resist having a play. Brought this heart below in the sale last year.

Painted the heart with sand and cream paints first. Let it dry. Stuck all the embellishments on, whatever came out my junk box really. Painted all the embellishments again with the cream and sand paints. Blasted it with heat gun to make sure paints not left in blobs. Added gold gilding wax and this gave the aged look. The small rose buds wouldn't absorb all the paint but love the way the pink has just crept through. Finished off with a twine bow. Hope you like this.
